Coats Phong Phu recognises that:

 Social Accountability and Labour Conditions are of fundamental importance to successful business strategy

Compliance with national labour code and core international labour conventions is responsibility of each individual of the whole organization, and of the whole community.

Based on the above, Coats Phong Phu Managing Director has defined the company Social Accountability and Labour Conditions policy, committed to implement and to supply all necessary resources for implementation.

Coats Phong Phu commits to:

1-         Comply with National Labour Code, other applicable laws and requirements to which the company subscribes and to respect relevant international institutions and their interpretations as listed in section II of SA 8000 standard.

2-         Effectively document, implement, maintain, communicate this policy and make it accessible in a comprehensive form to all personnel, including directors, executives, management, supervisors, and staff, whether directly employed, contracted or otherwise representing the company.

3-         Carry out continual improvement.

4-         Make this policy known to the public.

To implement effectively and efficiently the Social Accountability and Labour Conditions Policy, Coats Phong Phu has established and maintained a Social Accountability management system complying with the SA 8000:2001 and commits to comply with its requirements.

Coats Phong Phu establishes yearly Social Accountability Objectives relevant to and consistent with its Social Accountability and Labour Conditions  Policy and ensures that these Social Accountability Objectives are understood, implemented throughout the organisation. The Social Accountability Objectives are yearly reviewed for continual improvement.

Coats Phong Phu communicates this policy throughout the company, ensures that this policy is understood and implemented by all employees at all levels.

This policy is reviewed on a regular basis for continuing suitability.
